Аннотация

This is a text of the paper presented for “The Commonwealth Fund Conference” (February, 1995, in London). Prof. Zuckerman attempts to trace sociological and psychological roots and dimensions of the American “national” exceptionalism, which influenced all spheres of ideological life in the U.S.A., especially the history and political science. S.I. Zhuk comments Zuckerman’s argumentation as a typical American “leftist” (non – WASP) ideological position and explains the “critical” situation in recent American historiography that caused Zuckerman’s attitudes and approaches.
