Посещение Сан-Франциско русским судном “Юнона”, 28 марта-10 мая 1806 года
Аннотация
The article is about the JUNO’s voyage to California. The voyage had three objectives: to obtain food from California, to establish long-term commercial relations between the RAC in Alaska and Spanish officials in California and to survey the West Coast of North America and find a place to establish a permanent Russian settlement. The man who conceived these goals and purchased the JUNO, and who was in charge of the historic voyage to California, was Nikolai Petrovich Rezanov (1764–1807), a Chamberlain of the Russian Imperial Court.
