Аннотация

This paper discusses the problems of world politics in the perspective of American Neorealism – the ideological basis of modern U.S. foreign politics. Author discusses the different variants of American strategy. He demonstrates the diversity in the comprehension of: contents, scale, duration and consequences of globalization for the international system; understanding of the conditions that provide American leadership; future of NATO. Neorealists insist on the deterrent role of nuclear weapons. They still consider Russia as the latent threat to European security and criticize Bush’s foreign politics for unilateralism. American Neorealists have estimated Bush’s foreign politics as un-effective.
