Аннотация

This article discusses the influence of sociologist and philosopher Fernand Dumont (1927-1997) on Quebec’s contemporary social sciences. We first lay down a brief portrait of the history of social sciences in 19th and 20th century-Quebec. Then we highlight a few central parts of Dumont’s thought. Finally, we recall the process through which Dumont’s thought is being incorporated into the fabric of contemporary Quebec’s social sciences. The whole analysis is made from a historic and sociologic point of view.
