Аннотация

The author mainly analyses weaknesses in the study of the United States economic and social history in Russia. Among the problems of economic history special attention is paid to the formation and character of big business at the turn of XIX–XX centuries, to economic consequences of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal, to the economic periodization of post-industrial society. In the field of social history focus is laid upon the history of religious, ethnic and gender groups.
