Аннотация
The author laments that the foreign policy of the early American republic remains understudied in Russia. There are not only a lot of subjects waiting to be researched, but the general conceptual works in the field are lacking. Also, historians specializing in the early republic could make more use of the new approaches in the field, and Atlantic History is one of them.
