Аннотация
The author discusses the subjects open for revision in the Russian historiography of the United States history. E.g., the interpretation of U.S. territorial expansion in the XIX century is marred by the Romantic heritage of the idealized notion of the people. In fact, Indian removal and Mexican war were supported not only by elites but by a wide cross-section majority of North Americans.
