Historians in Search of the Truth: The Visit of the Russian Fleet to the USA in 1863-1864: Presents the comparative study of literature in Russia and the US. Reveals the priority of naval historians (V. Goncharov, A. Belomor), who showed the real purposes of the visiting of the Russian fleet to New York and San Francisco before the publication of the famous article by Frank A. Golder in 1915. Analyzes the achievements and failures of the Soviet (A.E. Adamov, A.V. Efimov, M.M. Malkin) and American (H.I. Kushner, N.E. Saul) historians who used both Russian and American documentary materials.
