Аннотация
The Dominion governmental program was aimed at the maintenance of a high and stable level of employment and national income, greater social security during the post-war transitional period. Tax policy, price decontrol, gradual discontinuance of control affecting distribution, trade, manpower, public subsidies and reduced credit encouraged and stimulated private industry to expand and improve production. Public investment in the development of transport and communications, housing, discovery of new natural resources resulted in the increase of economic activity. Huge expansion of United States direct investments in Canadian economy was significant factor for its stable development.
