Lost and Forgotten Maps of Golikov—Shelikhov's Company, 1783—1798.: Presents a large group of maps of the late XVIII century previously unknown to the scholars. The history of their preparation, the circumstances under which the geographical expeditions were organized, dates and authors' names are examined. The maps' descriptions together with new literary and archive sources provides new information on the course of geographical discoveries, relationships with the aborigines and the process which led to the formation of monopoly possession of the Golikov—Shelikhov's company on the North-Western shore of America.
