Война, революция и формирование нации: американская революция в сопоставлении с Гражданской войной
Аннотация
Both American Revolution and the war between North and South are treated as civil wars. The point of the author is to explore the similarities and differences between two historical phenomena. In the list of the similarities one can find the great emotional pain among the seceders, and the formation of the new nations as the outcomes. Though the problem of comparison has serious complications, it may open a fresh perspective to understanding both the Revolution and the Civil War.
