Схизма Кита и кризис норм власти в колониальной Америке
Аннотация
«Schism» in the Quaker communities (1691–1694) in colonial America was not only a religious dissent. Series of disputes initiated by «rebellious Quaker» George Keith, were an early example of «protest rhetoric» in colonial society. Keith defended his views against the attacks of Increase and Cotton Mather, and revealed various abuses of colonial administration. He started a community of his own called «Christian Quakers» or «Keithians». His activities seriously affected the religious and political establishment in early America.
