Аннотация

Sobor of the Russian Orthodox Church of North America (Metropolia) at Cleveland, Ohio has resolved, that His Holiness Alexis I, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia be requested to reunite the Metropolia in his fold and be its spiritual Head, conditioned upon the Church in America retaining its autonomous status and the right of self-government. Generally, Sobor followed exactly the advice given by M. Karpovitch, G. Fedotov and other professors in the “Memorandum” of October 18, 1946. The Sobor’s resolution has been the first Metropolia’s serious attempt to normalize its canonical relations with the Moscow Mother Church.
