Аннотация
The article epitomizes the Congressional and public debates over the conditions on which the State of Missouri was eventually admitted into the United States. Not having made a definite conclusion whether two compromises of 1821 had been more profitable for the Southern or Northern States, the author tries to arrange and estimate arguments for both viewpoints.
