Американская организация “YMCA” и русская эмиграция первой послереволюционной волны
Аннотация
The American ecumenical organization allocated finance to a number of institutions the activity of which was focused on supporting Russian emigration. Among the aforementioned institutions was the publishing house “YMCA-Press”, which closely cooperated with N. Berdyaev, S. Bulgakov, G. Fedotov etc. The publishing house placed the emphasis on the factor of ideological pluralism, so the editorial board provided each ideological movement with the leeway to fight bolshevism the way it considered the most efficient. The primary cause lied in assuming that the destruction of the Soviet system will be a long process and that in order to effectively fulfill that task a wide range of means should be used.
