Британские корни американского президентства
Аннотация
The question of cultural traditions and theoretical concepts that formed the ground for the institution of American presidency is still disputable. The truth could be found between two extremes: the stress on uniqueness of American experience and the concentration on British origins. The comparative analysis of the American and British patterns of Executive power proved the crucial importance of the mother country’s legal and political culture for the colonial and early national developments. At the same time the differences between republicanism in America and monarchism in Britain are truly meaningful.
