Основные тенденции развития протестантских течений в колониальной Америке
Аннотация
The religion was a primary motivating factor in the minds of many, though certainly not all, of the people who colonized the British America. Religion was a constant presence in the lives of pious Puritans in American continent. The point of the author is to explore the similarities and differences between different protestant denominations in colonial America. The early history of the British settlers reveals a good deal of contention – religious and political – as groups vied for power and position among themselves and their neighbors.
