The article consists of the two documentary outlines on the subject of the US public opinion in the context of the Russia-Japan war and the Russian-American economic relations in the early 20th century. The letter of the former secretary of the US legation in Russia is of much interest. The second outline discovers the diplomatic nuances in the gift (a fine vase) of Czar Nicholas II to the New York Stock Exchange.
