The article points out the importance of religious factor for development of the American civilization. Quakerism is one of the main protestant denominations in colonial America. An understanding of vital significance of this religious movement for middle colonies is essential to an analysis of American uniqueness. Quakers’ activities seriously affected the religious, social and political establishment in early America.
