«Поющие квакеры», роджерианцы, или Радикальная реформация в Британской Америке
Аннотация
Using a story of the radical sects of the Singing Quakers and the Rogerenes, this essay explores traditions of the Radical Reformation in a religious culture of colonial British America. With their manifestations of «Divine Spirit Possession» and religious revivals, these sects were the cultural predecessors of the Shakers, the Universalists, the Freewill Baptists, Mormons, and Adventists, Pentecostalists and others, who have become an integral part of modern American religious culture.
