The article based upon a number of Russian, American and British archival sources, published documents, memoirs and books written by Russian and foreign scholars deals with the GRU, GRU Naval and KGB activities in the United States throughout 1918–1945 and is focused on recruitment of their sources and agents among Russian émigrés and Americans of Russian extraction.
