Аннотация
The article deals with the problems gender studies face in Russia, and argues that a closer look at the work of Margaret Fuller (1810–1850), one of the leading figures of Feminism, contributes to a better understanding of the prospects of American Studies in Russia, the place gender research ought to take in scholarly work and university courses.
